We’re happy to contribute with our old cover of Lo-Fi-Fnk’s great original in this new commercial for RFSL.

RFSL  is a Swedish organization working for LGBT rights, so we did this for non profit. As did Lo-Fi-Fnk who are the legal owners of the song.

Finally, a word from the dead

And we’re back.

We were supposed to play at a festival in Stockholm (we got canceled) and a tour to Argentina slipped out of our hands (but we’re coming next year, hopefully!). So things been kind of…. But now we’re keeping our heads up again! Good news:

We’re playing at Mosebacke on September 2. And we’re going to Sundsvall in October. Rejoice!

Creative Commons

On May 26th swedish copyright organisation STIM decided to allow their members to release music under the Creative Commons Licens. This is truly great news allowing us to release all our music under a more sensible licence. Starting today, you are free to download, share and remix our latest album A for noncommercial use. Upcoming gigs!

We’ve just recently started promoting Artymove’s new album A, and we’ve got reports of some (very limited, but still) airplay and some upcoming gigs.

First up is April 3 when we’ll play in Sundsvall at Pipeline together with our brothers and sister in The Sweet Serenads. Btw, they made an excellent gig here in Stockholm last night. I think you should go and see them if you’ll get the opportunity.

Monomefication

What happened? Well, I bought a Monome 128 and we “had” to redo our upcoming album. A monome is a minimalist instrument which is very well suited for making our type of electronic pop. You can do all sorts of fun stuff with it, including playing Tetris…

Our upcoming album is simply called A, and it was mastered today. It will arrive here on artymove.com this weekend, just in time for Christmas. And who knows, we might just give it away for free.

Mona Lee delayed

Hi guys!

I just received news from The Sweet Serenades that Mona Lee won’t be released Monday. The reason why is that they want their mix to be good. Really good.

We're back!

We’re back after a long nice vacation. I spent mine in Dublin, Paris and Gotland. But since it’s already autumn in our cold country, it feels good to be back infront of the warmth of my computer screen.

Let’s bring on the news then. First of, our remix of The Sweet Serenades’ Mona Lee will be released September 15th. Please make a visit on artymove.com and thesweetserenades.com. Meanwhile you can enjoy their swedish love on MySpace.

NYC, You And Me (a completely new version) will be our first single from what seems to be a new album. Yes, that’s right! New album coming up!

Vacation!

Finally, we both have a few weeks off to enjoy the cold swedish summer. We’ll be back in august with a new remix of The Sweet Serenades’ upcoming singel. And we have loads of stuff in the pipe prepped for a really nice autumn, so check back here every now and then!
