On May 26th swedish copyright organisation STIM decided to allow their members to release music under the Creative Commons Licens. This is truly great news allowing us to release all our music under a more sensible licence. Starting today, you are free to download, share and remix our latest album A for noncommercial use. Read the full licens here.

Uppsala cancelled

A short note to those of you who were expecting us in Uppsala Mars 21. Most unfortunately the gig has been cancelled.

A removed and released

Just like that we’ve received news that A is now available in iTunes Store, eMusic, Amazon and probably a few other places as well. That means we will no longer offer it for free. Please make sure that everyone you know gets a copy from our resellers.

Even though we haven’t promoted A much yet, we’re happy that so many has downloaded. December was a very successful month as artymove.com reached an all time high of unique visitors!

Christmas Gift

Hey everyone! We’re so pleased that so many have downloaded our new album and that the response have been so great that we’ve extend the free download (post below). We’re not sure for how long, but at least until A arrives in the stores.

In January we’ll start promoting A and we hope for an exciting new year.

Monomefication

What happened? Well, I bought a Monome 128 and we “had” to redo our upcoming album. A monome is a minimalist instrument which is very well suited for making our type of electronic pop. You can do all sorts of fun stuff with it, including playing Tetris…

Our upcoming album is simply called A, and it was mastered today. It will arrive here on artymove.com this weekend, just in time for Christmas. And who knows, we might just give it away for free.

Steppin' Out Goes Snowboarding

Steppin’ Out is featured on the soundtrack to the movie Notes. We’ve received many requests to release the song and we’ll make an effort to do so. Meanwhile, you can listen over in our music section.

We're back!

We’re back after a long nice vacation. I spent mine in Dublin, Paris and Gotland. But since it’s already autumn in our cold country, it feels good to be back infront of the warmth of my computer screen.

Let’s bring on the news then. First of, our remix of The Sweet Serenades’ Mona Lee will be released September 15th. Please make a visit on artymove.com and thesweetserenades.com. Meanwhile you can enjoy their swedish love on MySpace.

NYC, You And Me (a completely new version) will be our first single from what seems to be a new album. Yes, that’s right! New album coming up!

Bones in iTunes Plus

For some reason we don’t know why (but appreciate very much), Bones is now available in iTunes Plus. That means it’s much better sound quality and there is no FairPlay copy protection. That means you can play Bones on other devices than iPods and computers. If you bought Bones in standard format on iTunes it might be worth to check if you’re entitled an upgrade.
