Steppin' Out Goes RFSL
5 March, 2010 - 17:17 | Categories: Artymove music, Media, Peter writes | CommentsWe’re happy to contribute with our old cover of Lo-Fi-Fnk’s great original in this new commercial for RFSL.
RFSLÂ Â is a Swedish organization working for LGBT rights, so we did this for non profit. As did Lo-Fi-Fnk who are the legal owners of the song.

Die Young (Artymove Remix)
5 March, 2010 - 1:25 | Categories: Artymove music, Remixes | CommentsOur good friends The Sweet Serenades are having “Die Young” featured in tonights episode of Grey’s Anatomy on ABC. So we felt it would be nice with a remix.
The music video to their song will be up soon. Meanwhile, why not download our remix?
Creative Commons
8 June, 2009 - 12:53 | Categories: Album release, Artymove music, Peter writes | 1 commentOn May 26th swedish copyright organisation STIM decided to allow their members to release music under the Creative Commons Licens. This is truly great news allowing us to release all our music under a more sensible licence. Starting today, you are free to download, share and remix our latest album A for noncommercial use. Read the full licens here.
So what’s it all about? Have a look (iPhone users use this link):
And at last, here’s the music (don’t miss the fantastic share feature to the right of the waveform):

Yes, we’re late to the game and some of you noticed. We have finally got ourselves a Last.fm-page. A very convenient way to listen to our music.
Mona Lee (Artymove Remix)
18 September, 2008 - 20:28 | Categories: Artymove music, Remixes | 1 commentConsequence of Sound is a really nice blog “that seeks to cover the music world as it has never been covered before”. They recently turned one year and to celebrate this they have put together a mixtape. And our remix of The Sweet Serenades’ song Mona Lee just happens to be on it.

Bones in iTunes Plus
12 July, 2008 - 17:22 | Categories: Album release, Artymove music | Comments
For some reason we don’t know why (but appreciate very much), Bones is now available in iTunes Plus. That means it’s much better sound quality and there is no FairPlay copy protection. That means you can play Bones on other devices than iPods and computers. If you bought Bones in standard format on iTunes it might be worth to check if you’re entitled an upgrade.
Le le le
27 June, 2008 - 16:34 | Categories: Artymove music, Mathilda writes, Song drafts | 2 commentsHere is yet a new draft for all you lovely ones to enjoy. This time, the combination of an uplifting (draft) beat of sweet Peter and the horrible lack of courage in our Swedish society, inspired me to write a few lines on what is about to become “Le le le”. I wish we all were so much more courageous…

Milky Starshine live video
10 June, 2008 - 22:32 | Categories: Artymove music, Artymove video, Live, Peter writes | 3 commentsThis is completely live even though the video may be out of sync here and there (we got a HUGE amount of drop frames when shooting this). I’m sorry that there are no close ups, but I’ll try to describe what we’re doing.
Starting with myself and what I’m doing with my Akai. I’m controlling three loops (bass, rhodes and synth), tweaking the cutoff and resonance of the instruments, tremolo of the rhodes sound and doing some effects on the vocals (mainly delay). I hope you can see what I’m playing. Otherwise it’s a short rhodes line in the beginning, a lead line and a pad. Software used is Ableton Live for triggering midi loops and Logic Pro’s software instruments. Midi is sent internally from Live to Logic.
Jonas is doing all the percussive parts on a Trigger Finger. There are tree different channels. The main drums, the soft drums and some extra loops and sounds. He is triggering different variations and fills, controlling decay and reverb and doing some beat repeating on some of the sounds, using Ableton Live.
Mathias is obviously playing the guitar. He is running MainStage for some different delay effects. On the floor he has a load of pedals, but I’m not entirely sure what he’s doing with them. Probably some pretty cool guitar-guy stuff. He is also using an E-Bow.
And last but not least we have Mathilda singing, but that is self explanatory. May I remind you that it’s live and recorded in one take!

A Little Prissy Boy
24 May, 2008 - 13:08 | Categories: Artymove music, Peter writes, Song drafts | 2 commentsAudio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
A month ago I posted a beat which I made with my AKAI-keyboard’s MPC-style pads, and this is how it turned out. The lyrics (mostly written by Mathilda) is about how angry you can get with some people for being too perfect, too ambitious or just too good-looking. Yeah, you know that feeling, don’t you… It will be very interesting to see what our guitarist Mathias will do with this one (we do not refer to you, Mathias, as the prissy boy…).
